Team Purpose The Managed Network & Security Team is responsible for the management of the Network & Security devices in Getronics Datacenters, connenctivity towards customers and cloud providers and on premis network & security implementations at our Customers You should possess excellent communication and team working skills and have confidence working on your own initiative. You will be required to work during European business hours from Monday-Friday, Weekly Oncall would be on rotational basis. Role Purpose We are looking for an experienced professional who is autonomous, experienced, self-driven Network fanatics. The role is to proactively and reactively manage the Network and Security devices , act on alarms from our network management systems , act on incidents reported by our customer. Troubleshoot & analyse incidents and changes , make suggestions to fix and implement the solution. Test and deploy software upgrades or security patches. Work as a full member of our international team that consists out of 50 Engineers globally

  • Manages the design, implementation and ongoing management of mainly Cisco environment, including LAN, WAN, and Wireless Environments. Coordinates with networking vendors to ensure appropriate platform integration and performance. Makes recommendations to senior management on new technologies and products for enhancement of the network.
  • Leads and participates in the installation of Network systems and equipment for new facilities and expansions. Tests, debugs and analyzes performance, and documents infrastructure components.
  • Develops Network infrastructure installation procedures to ensure successful integration of systems hardware/software. Develops and recommends technical strategies and solutions to maintain and/or expand service levels.
  • Monitors and analyzes network, and provides results on a regular basis. Takes corrective action to improve data network.
  • Responds to emergency situations and can perform effective troubleshooting during production outages.
  • Assist in guiding, training, instructing and assisting others at peer or lower levels on technical issues and products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
This role involves client interaction. The scope of products / vendors covers – Cisco (Routing & SDWAN,ACI / Catalyst & Nexus Switching / Aironet Wireless / ASA/Firepower Firewall, PRIME, ISE) Meraki ( Wireless / Firewall / SDWAN ) F5 ( LTM , ASM, APM, GTM ) Fortinet ( Firewall, Forti Manager ) Palo Alto ( Firewall, Panaroma ) Responsibilities/Accountabilities: · Act on Incidents reported by our network management tools · Act on Incidents reported by the customer ( via our service desk )· Practively test & upgrade software on various devices · Analyse capacity management reports & propose improvements · Prepare and execute Change requests · Remotely Configure new devices · Interact with multiple teams ( Helpdesk , Customer , Service delivery Mgr )· Make technical advisory / designs for customer network migrations. · Make technical advisory to improve customer security environment. · Communicate & raise incidents to 3the party ( vendors / telecom providers )· Create and update documentation sets · Propose improvement plans ( technical & human activity )· Proactively seek guidance from peers and seniors where required. · Team presentations on your activities · Propose improvements for our our network management tools / Configuration. · Analyse reporting before used by Service Delivery Manager · Understand vendor product / solution evolutions Skills/Experience · Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience ( see list of vendors )· Hands on experience to work in an ITIL structured organisation dealing with Incident / Change / Problem management · Hands on experience in handling any of major IT infrastructure vendor products such as Cisco , Meraki , F5 , Fortinet , Palo Alto. · Expert with implementing and supporting routing protocols. · Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzers. · Configuring network & security devices with end to end security in mind. · Configuring end to end Quality of Service · Troubleshout using traffic analysers , netflow colectors , capacity management tools. · Understand to interprete wireless ( WIFI ) site survey reports · Execute / tune wireless ( WIFI ) radio management. · Incident Report Document writing. · Documentation ( MS Word ) & drawing ( MS Visio ) updates · Participating in Team & Customer meetings. Qualification/Certification requirements · Masters or graduate degree holder · Skills Ø Excellent knowledge & Experience with the combinations of minimum two technologies mentioned below are Preferred Ø Cisco(R&S,DC),SDWAN,ACI,Wireless,Security(Firewalls),Load Balancers(F5)· Preferred Certifications below (Any two certfications added advantage) Ø Cisco CCNP R&S / Sec / Wireless Ø Cisco CCIE Routing & Switching Ø Cisco CCIE Security/Wireless Ø Fortinet NSE 3 or Higher Ø Palo Alto (PCNSA/PCNSE) Ø F5 Certified Administrator/Technical Specialist/Solution Expert Ø Meraki Certified Meraki Network Operator · Awareness ITIL® V3 framework
