Those on track to Manager will be expected to take increasing responsibility for people/team. Those on track to Lead will be expected to develop increasing capability in a specific sector or area of expertise. Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results People: Manage and lead several concurrent projects, potentially from different funders at one time. Plan and execute end to end project delivery, utilising project team resources, delegating and overseeing completion of tasks appropriately within the team.Advise and help team members' writing and editing to ensure content is to desired standard.Proactively identify potential issues in the delivery of projects and act as point of escalation to management.Coach and advise more junior consultants within the team. Actively and appropriately build capability in others; start to develop mentoring skills.Deputize for the team Manager when required. Client: Act as the lead contact on complex projects - hold clients accountable to timeframes and information needs and manage the expectations of multiple clients simultaneously.Actively seek the opportunity to deepen the client relationship; identify opportunities for further work and pass leads to the sales team.Maintain and nurture client relationships whilst delivering projects; build trust and influence. Value: Lead the delivery of high-quality grant applications using highly developed technical writing with a robust business, project and technical narrative and engaging, compelling content.Ability to maximize value and output by using the teams different strengths to pull together successful bids.Provide the benchmark for the quality of client deliverables, content and documents.Provide constructive and effective Strategic and Final Quality Controls.Demonstrate broad market awareness and provide updates internally/externally on current and upcoming UK & European funding opportunities and program as well as other forms of funding.Develop increasing understanding of sector specific client requirements. Education and Experience: 3 years or more previous grants consultancy experience, or equivalent. Ability to lead and delegate within multiple client projects. Strong technical writing ability. Experience and skill in leading complex projects, simplifying complex information to suit the target audience. An ability to research and be a quick learner is also essential. Computer Skills: Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, Google Document Suites. Certificates and Licenses: None Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for coaching and learning of junior consultants and occasionally able to deputize for manager when needed. Supervising the team in the work when leading projects. Work Environment: Standard indoor working environment.Occasional long periods of sitting while working at desk.Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone. Independent travel requirement: 5-10%
