We are looking for an experienced Registered Midwife to join our Labor and Delivery Team.Job Responsibilities:Assist in the organization and management of the multi-professional care given to mother and babies utilizing the full skills of a practicing midwife.Act as an advocate for mother and her family.Undertake comprehensive healthcare needs assessment of mother and babies reassessing as appropriate.Provide support to Mother and her family when they encounter distressing or difficult situations (e.g., bereavement and congenital abnormalities).Assist and promote practice sensitive to the needs of mothers and families from multi-cultural backgrounds.Aid and maintain effective communication within the multidisciplinary team and with mothers and their families in their care.Support the line manager in monitoring action of others to whom responsibility for the patient has been delegated.Continuously update knowledge and skills in order to keep abreast with current trends in the field of midwifery care.Provide the highest standard of midwifery care, having regard to agreed policies in line with the philosophy of care.Be responsible for supporting and developing breastfeeding initiatives.Organize own workload with regards to assessing patient needs, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a program of care which is evidence-based utilizing all available resources while considering the lifestyle, gender, and cultural background, ensuring involvement with the patient, family, carers, and significant others.Ensure that all patients and their families feel cared for and cared about.Organize own workload to ensure that the interests of the patients are met.Experience:Minimum 5 years experience in relevant field.Good interpersonal and communication skills.License / Registration:Valid DHA license/ DHA Eligibility Letter as Registered Midwife.
