Data Governance Consultant - Malaysia & India

It is fast paced growing scale up company having offices in Malaysia, Singapore, India, UAE and Vietnam Work Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Bangalore, India Role Description: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Governance Consultant Architect where you will join a team delivering a transformative cloud-hosted data platform solution. You should have a proven track record in leading and delivering Data Governance Consulting Services with Enterprise level organisations. We are seeking someone who can create and deliver a Data Governance vision with customers across many sectors. You will be highly proficient working with business stakeholders and directing project teams and will have direct experience of a range of Data Governance Tools and Platforms. Work Experience: · 6+ years in a Data Governance, Data Engineering, Master Data Management using Enterprise grade product such as Microsoft Purview, Informatica and others. Responsibilities: · Lead and supervise a team of data cleansing and management specialists, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. · Develop and implement data cleansing strategies and best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. · Design and manage data quality control procedures, including data profiling, standardisation, de-duplication, and enrichment. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data integrity throughout the organisation. · Establish data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices. · Develop and maintain data quality metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor and communicate the effectiveness of data cleansing efforts. · Collaborate with IT teams to implement and enhance data management tools and technologies. · Coordinate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop data strategies that support business objectives. · Develop and maintain data cleansing documentation, including data quality rules, procedures, and data dictionaries. · Provide guidance and support to teams across the organization on data cleansing and management best practices.   Requirements · At least 6 years’ experience in data cleansing, data management, or a related role, with a proven track record of successfully leading data cleansing initiatives. · Strong understanding of data cleansing methodologies, tools, and techniques. · Proficiency in data profiling and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, or R. · In-depth knowledge of data governance principles, data protection regulations, and industry best practices. · Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a remote team. · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. · Familiarity with data management technologies and concepts, such as data modelling, data integration, and data warehousing. · Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as GCP or AWS, and big data technologies is a plus. · Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment. · Proficient in written and spoken English. Skills & Competencies Requirements：· Knowledge of Data Governance Platform like Microsoft Purview · Knowledge of using advance technologies like AI/ML in context of data orchestration. · Knowledge of Azure Data Platform technologies like Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, etc. · Good Understanding of various database system - SQL and NO SQL. · Excellent documentation skills to develop high level and low-level design documents. · Knowledge & Experience about Maritime and Marine Shipping Industry will be a big plus
