Reference Number: 1562 & 1419 Closing Date: 28-11-2024 Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Location: Dalby Corporate Office Level 2 About the Opportunity Based in Dalby , Council is seeking a Civil Designer OR Senior Civil Designer (depending on qualifications and experience), to become an integral part of the design team responsible for the efficient and cost-effective delivery of a range of design services including civil works, surveying, drafting and estimating. This role is full time, working 36.25 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO. Reporting to the Civil Design Coordinator, you will be:

• Developing cost-effective design based on construction requirements & adhering to established design guidelines and procedures.
• Analysing design issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Performing civil design analysis and calculations according to project recommendations.
• Determining construction cost and material estimates based on civil designs.

About yourself A person in this position will need to hold a relevant qualification which may include an Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering; Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering/ Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering/ Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or in a related field, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have a thorough knowledge of applicable design standards for road and drainage, and local government engineering practices and legislation.
