Overview Job Title: Senior Manager - IBMS/SHEQ Location: KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Manager to oversee the Integrated Business Management System (IBMS) and Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing and managing IBMS and SHEQ programs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of health, safety, environmental, and quality management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop, implement, and maintain an effective Integrated Business Management System (IBMS) that aligns with international standards and best practices. 2. Oversee the implementation of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. 3. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and monitor compliance with relevant regulations and standards. 4. Provide leadership and strategic direction to the IBMS/SHEQ team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication across departments. 5. Develop and deliver training programs to increase awareness and understanding of IBMS/SHEQ requirements among employees. 6. Collaborate with senior management to set objectives, targets, and KPIs related to IBMS/SHEQ performance and track progress towards goals. 7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall performance and effectiveness of the IBMS/SHEQ programs. 8. Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, auditors, and certification bodies. Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. - 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role overseeing IBMS and SHEQ functions, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. - Professional certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and/or NEBOSH will be an advantage. - In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices related to health, safety, environment, and quality management. - Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Proven track record of implementing successful IBMS/SHEQ programs and driving continuous improvement.
