Job Description A solar distribution company is looking to hire a Solar Construction Project Manager! Role purpose: To coordination the completion of C&I solar projects on time within budget and within the scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of the project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project. Key Inputs: Project Initiation: Identify Stakeholders and define their level of influence on the Construction project. Allocate Projects to EPC based on scope, performance & workload. Coordinate joint site surveys (DPA ,EPC & Client). Customize the Construction Methodology Plan Project Planning: Prepare and arrange for a Project Kick-off meeting with relevant stakeholders Evaluate Project Management Plans for solar plant construction Define Project Scope and Change Management Plan Manage project schedule and project resources Engage client on logistics and storage of equipment and align with supply chain Manage project quality plans for construction projects. Review the project communications plan for solar plant construction. Manage and monitor the Risk Management Plan for solar. Project Execution: Arrange and coordinate site establishment Analyse and make recommendations on Projects Performance Evaluate Quality Assurance processes (random & hold inspections) Project Monitoring and Control: Hold weekly review meeting with EPC and or Client Review and populate progress reports to senior management Review and populate risk report to Risk department and senior management. Project Closure: Arrange & coordinate for acceptance/handover session with stakeholders Inventory review & checks Review and populate lessons Learned Report Rapid Assessment and Recovery of Troubled Projects: Evaluate the implementation stabilization Plan Manage and monitor Stabilization Plan for troubled projects to bring them back to within approved baseline, cost and quality standards. Structural Review: Review structural reports for C&I (Roofs, carport & ground mounts) Review scope and cost for structural enhancements on structures Oversees standard designs for access roads. Tendering: Develop Construction Methodology Plans Come up with manpower resource plan for the proposed project Construction Supervision: Review periodically Hold inspections and Acceptance tests on completed civil works constructed by contractors Assess quality standards periodically Review periodically engineering/Technical standards periodically Evaluate periodically statutory requirements Monitoring and controlling the implementation costs Adhering and enforcing company Safety, Health and Environmental policy. Monitoring And Updating C&I Project Tracker Review and update online project tracker Update the pipe drive weekly Technical Standards Review Research, review and update technical standards relating to and in line with changing global standards Maintenance Works (Defect liability Period) Coordinate teams to attend to call-outs Management Of The Section Identifies possible subordinate first level vacancies and where applicable, suitable candidates internally or externally , and arranges for the appointment of suitable staff Compiles and submits sectional weekly and monthly reports Decision-Making Authority/Mandates/Constraints: Decides on actions to be taken in uncertain project environments in order to accomplish organizational goals. Decides on appropriate levels of project control depending on project complexity and risk to the organization. Decides on the need, content, and timing of escalation of adverse project issues. Decides on changes to project scope, schedule, costs, and quality constraints
