Position: Site Manager / Finishing Foreman Location: County Mayo, Ireland Project: Hotel Refurbishment & Part New Build Contract Type: Full-time (Project-based) Salary: Competitive (Dependent on experience) Start Date: Immediate About the Project: An exciting opportunity has arisen to oversee the refurbishment and part new build of a luxury hotel in County Mayo. The project includes the renovation of existing structures and the addition of new build elements, creating a modern, high-end hospitality experience while preserving the character of the original hotel. We are looking for an experienced Site Manager/Finishing Foreman to ensure this prestigious project is delivered to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring work is completed to a high standard in accordance with the project plans.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the refurbishment and new build, including site safety, quality control, and subcontractor coordination.
- Monitor progress, ensure project milestones are met, and report regularly to the project manager.
- Supervise finishing trades, ensuring all finishes are to a superior standard.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve any issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure that materials and resources are used efficiently and that the project stays within budget.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Finishing Foreman, ideally in hotel refurbishment or high-end residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and finishes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing teams and liaising with stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-quality finishes.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and experience implementing site safety protocols.
- Valid Safe Pass and construction management qualifications (CIF would be a plus).
