Business Development Manager - Advanced Manufacturing About us: MineARC Systems is the global leader in controlled environments and safety technologies for the underground mining, tunnelling, chemical processing, disaster relief, and biotechnology industries. We specialise in the manufacture and supply of emergency refuge chambers, safe havens, disaster shelters, and plant grow chambers, as well as a range of electronic equipment, remote monitoring, tracking, and communications technologies that allow full integration in heavy industrial applications. Based in our Perth Head Office, a new opportunity for a dedicated Business Development Manager to drive sales and expansion in MineARC's new Advanced Manufacturing capability via Printed Circuit Boards Surface Mounted Technology line, steel surface treatment, and Engineering outsourcing. You will be instrumental in the early stages of product development and working with the latest technologies including a Plastic Injection Moulding machine, brake press, powder coating, and a bespoke Micronic SMT line. The role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to be involved in our Innovation team supporting MineARC in the fabrication of other Australian manufacturers' products. The Role: Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Prospecting and securing new business within the Australian market
- Maintaining and building customer relationships
- Achieving budgeted sales
- Updating and maintaining the company CRM
- Managing the end-to-end sales process from quoting to commissioning
- Travel as required to clients’ sites, expos, and conferences
- Liaising with production on the sourcing of componentry and chipsets
- Ensuring that the products sold are in accordance with company specifications and QA/QC
- Developing and implementing strategic business plans for the business
- Working closely with our CIO on strategy and market development
- Liaising directly with our engineering, marketing, and production teams
- Proven ability in the acquisition of new customers and sales budgets
- Exposure to the Manufacturing Industry
- Experience in selling and supplying equipment across manufacturing, research, tertiary, or industrial industries
- Ability to present to all levels within an organisation including senior management
- Self-motivated and career-focused
- A strong interest in electronics and new technologies
- Strong networking, negotiation, and social skills
- Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions would be advantageous
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally and attend expos and other events
- Competency in the MS Suite of programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- A qualification in Business, Engineering, Electronics, or Manufacturing would be advantageous
