INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER

Ferguson Corporation, Perth's leading Commercial Architectural Furniture & Fitout Company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Designer Professional to create shop drawings for Architects' Approval and production drawings for the Factory Floor. It is essential that successful candidates will have:

• Work closely with clients and team members to understand the design needs and project goals, ensuring clear communication throughout the process.
• Conduct research on functional, technical, and industry-specific demands, balancing practical, aesthetic, and environmental factors.
• Create sketches, 3D models, and digital renders to visualize design concepts and facilitate discussions with clients and team members.
• Collaborate with production and sales teams to address any design challenges, ensuring the final product meets functional requirements.
• Recommend suitable materials and finishes, considering durability, cost, and sustainability to enhance the product's overall quality.
• Prepare detailed specifications and technical drawings to guide the production process and ensure accuracy in manufacturing.
• Assist in developing prototypes, providing hands-on support during testing to refine designs based on client feedback.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to monitor the production process, ensuring accurate execution of designs and meeting quality standards.
• Previous working knowledge of Cabinet Vision is preferred.
