Yarra Junction, Yarra Valley & High Country VIC Childcare & Outside School Hours Care (Education & Training) Full time Songbird Early Learning Centre – Yarra Junction is located in the beautiful Yarra Valley and we are currently looking for a strong leader to become our next Centre Manager. We are a small family-owned centre (39 places) and care for children between 6 weeks to 6 years. We are open from 7.00am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, closed public holidays and between Christmas and New Year. The role of Centre Manager is pivotal in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for both our team members and the children under our care. In this capacity, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of your Centre
- Manage and build strong relationships with employees, families, and the wider community
- Support all team members to implement our play-based curriculum
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company values
- Foster a positive workplace culture
- Champion child safety and positive learning outcomes for every child
- Ensure responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor are fulfilled

- We have a small group of Centres and you will have the ability to liaise with other Centre Managers to support each other.
- Early Childhood Teacher qualification is advantageous but not essential. At a minimum, you must hold a Diploma level Early Childhood Education Qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in early childhood, preferably long day care
- Demonstrate an understanding of budget management, rostering, and managing compliance/mandatory documentation
- Strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with a positive attitude.
- Experience in Educational Leader/2IC role is advantageous but not necessary.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible.
- Comfortable doing a variety of work both on and off the floor.
