Avenues is a community where people smile, laugh, grow and achieve great things, we know that well-supported people support people well, which makes them want to do their very best for the people we support, and achieve our vision.  We are now looking for an Acting Assistant Service Manager to join our team in our Holly Lodge service based in Hildenborough, Tonbridge on 12 month fixed term contract. This service supports five people who have Learning Disabilities, communication difficulties and who display behaviours of concern, individuals need support to enable them to participate in community based activities and activities within their home this includes swimming, banking, weekly shops and visits home. Holly Lodge is situated in a rural area of Hildenborough. There is a train station in Hildenborough. Holly Lodge is a 1 mile Walk from the train station. The Assistant Service Manager Role is 19.5 hrs administration and 19.5 hrs direct Support and practice leadership. Shifts may include: Early, late, mid, sleep in and flexible shifts. There is also an expectation to provide management cover effectively for the service (including weekends where required). There would be a requirement to support the Service Manager to complete waking night spot checks of the service twice a year. What will you be doing?- To work in partnership with the Service Manager and Registered Manager and other key stakeholders in order to deliver safe, high quality services for service users. - To support the Service Manager undertake the recruitment, development and management of staff in order to provide them with the skills, experience and behaviours necessary to provide a safe, high quality service to people supported. - To support the Service Manager and participate in the monitoring/management of service budgets to ensure a high standard of physical, social and emotional support is provided. To ensure that accurate financial records are made. - To act as a practice leader, role modelling Person Cantered Active Support approaches and PBS approaches to staff and others. - To assist the Service Manager in delivery of the service in order to meet the needs and aspirations of people supported, service commissioners and regulatory authorities and to develop a reputation for Avenues for excellent delivery of distinctive services. - Duties may include providing personal care and administration of medication. - To participate in the On call Rota.
