Te Puni Kōkiri is looking for a keen Data Analyst to join our Data, Insights and Monitoring Directorate. This role will support initiatives to centralise and share holistic data and products with our user and community stakeholders. The primary outcome of this mahi is to support and inform decision-making and policy development through the provision of trusted data. Our data analysts will use their expertise to:
  • Explore potential data sources and consider whether they're fit for purpose.
  • Support acquisition and standardisation of data into our data platform.
  • Lead and conduct testing of data and data products.
  • Lead and support user requirements gathering for new and existing data products.
This role is part of a high-performance team within Te Puni Kōkiri that includes other Data Analysts and Data Engineers. The appointment range for this role is between $77,753 and $97,160 per annum and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience. Ko wai koe | About you To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with data and experience in data warehousing or standardised preparation of data. You'll have good working knowledge of data processing and coding skills like SQL. You're a people person, able to hold user requirements workshops and deliver to user requirements. Experience working in hybrid agile environments is a plus. This is also a unique opportunity to work with Māori data and support internal and external thinking on how to apply appropriate data management approaches.
