Dear Future Strategist, We’re hiring an Email & SMS Strategist because we need your expertise and experience to help us accomplish our Mission as a company - elevate ecommerce teams and drive $100M dollars of email & SMS revenue into our CLIENT’s Companies. Please note: we're looking for someone with very specific experience. In your application email, please only tell me about the relevant experience that positions you to be excellent in this role (more on qualifications we look for below, but essentially, it's email & SMS strategy *specifically* for e-commerce brands, *specifically* in Klaviyo, and handling both creative, strategic, and analytical aspects). Our ideal-case scenario is to start part-time and grow into full-time as we both get familiar (and hopefully fall in love) with each other. More about us and the work: We are an agency that does email & SMS marketing for ecommerce companies in the US & Canada. Here's an example of a brand we'd work with: thespoiledmama.com (not an actual current client). You would have 2-6 clients like that, and your responsibility will be to come up with the Email & SMS Marketing Strategy for them and work with our team of copywriters & designers to produce email & SM content according to your plan. Part of your responsibilities will also be to communicate with the Client on a regular basis, propose content plans and experiments, inform them on the progress & results of projects, deliver in-depth analysis of results, get their approval on content, and make changes according to their requests. Your main goal in this job: Ensure that the Client's Email & SMS channels deliver excellent performance while following ethical email principles and staying “on brand” with content. Your core areas of responsibility to achieve that are:

  • Strategy & Content . Proactively own the strategic direction for managed brands and lead content creation, working with our Copywriters, Designers, and Project Managers to bring your strategy to life.
  • Performance & Analytics . Own the performance of Email & SMS channels. Analyze performance on a regular basis, report to our CEO and the Client on wins & opportunities for improvement. Build hypotheses and run experiments to continuously improve email & SMS performance.
  • Client Communication . Regularly communicate with Client to ensure we’re integrated into their marketing team. Make sure we understand their goals and they understand how we contribute to those goals. If the Client suggests something that isn’t going to work well, push back gently with data-backed arguments and offer alternatives.
In this role you will learn:
  • How to be obsessed with continuous improvement by looking for opportunities to optimize email & SMS performance of our managed accounts: from small things (like subject line improvements) to big things (like implementing referral programs, setting up SMS marketing from scratch, or building & executing on strategies to improve revenue 80% YOY).
  • How to be a tactical and strategic Manager that loves being in the weeds, building email & sms programs for e-commerce brands, connecting teams, and growing into the very best version of themselves within an organization that fosters, growth, trust and challenge.
  • All about Ecommerce and DTC Marketing.
This role has great growth opportunities — you can grow into a Team Manager/Leader. Where will you work? We all work remotely and always have. We are scattered around California, Canada, Serbia, Georgia, and Brazil. This means you have the flexibility to work from home anywhere in the world — provided you are available 8am - 1pm Pacific hours (PST) (as our clients are in North America). As our Strategist, we expect you to be a self-starter, proactive in every way. You will be an "in-the-weeds" daily operator and an essential contributor to our success.   • Ability to work 15-20 hours/week, to start, going into 30-35 hours/week within 3-6 months
  • 2+ years experience in Email & SMS Marketing for e-commerce brands
  • 1+ years experience in Klaviyo
  • Strong in all three aspects of email marketing: strategic, creative, and analytical.
  • Other Digital Marketing experience is a plus.
