Summary Ensures that patient access, acceptance, registration, eligibility and financial status are in line with Hospital policies and that they are completed in a timely manner through coordination with physicians, nurses and other health care providers. Essential Responsibilities and Duties 1. Receives and greets patients, employees or visitors as they arrived in the clinic and provides information & directions. 2. Obtains necessary information, determines and directs the concerns of caller to appropriate areas. 3. Opens medical Records for new patients. 4. Reviews and responds to correspondence regarding eligibility for treatment. 5. Receives interviews and assists patients/families prior to submitting medical referrals paperwork and explains KFSH&RC Eligibility policy. 6. Performs all appointment Services and Admission functions. 7. Registers and initiates the required action on all financial letters coming from the Royal Families, Royal Cabinet, companies, General Medical Committees, embassies and other sources. 8. Registers and confirms patient's visit using computer system, and takes necessary action for patient's check-in. 9. Receives walk-in patients and takes necessary action for them. 10. Retrieves patient information from the system as necessary. 11. Verifies patient's eligibility status; makes sure that patient is eligible for the specialty he/she is referred to. 12. Coordinates with other Hospital staff while booking appointment to make sure the patient's appointments are close to each other, like X-ray or Endoscopy, etc. 13. Participates in the orientation of new employees as required. 14. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures. 15. Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as applicable. 16. Performs any other related duties as assigned. Education Bachelor's Degree or IPA Diploma in Hospital Administration or other related discipline is required. Experience Required One (1) year of related experience with Bachelor's Degree or three (3) years with IPA Diploma is required. Other Requirements(Certificates) Saudi National only.
