- Quality Control Oversight:
- Ensure all products pass through rigorous quality control checks at each stage of production, from raw materials to finished goods. Identify and correct any deviations from quality standards.
- Team Management:
- Supervise and lead the Stage QC team, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the team.
- Inspection and Testing:
- Oversee the inspection and testing procedures at various production stages. Conduct routine and ad-hoc inspections to ensure compliance with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Non-Conformance Management:
- Identify and investigate quality issues or defects that arise during production. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Collaboration with Production Teams:
- Work closely with the production to ensure that quality standards are adhered to throughout the manufacturing process. Assist in troubleshooting production issues related to quality.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality reports. Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of quality initiatives and issues.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously monitor production processes and recommend improvements to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Compliance:
- Ensure that all quality control procedures align with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Stay up-to-date with changes in quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Root Cause Analysis & Reporting:
- Lead investigations into root causes of quality failures. Provide detailed analysis and reports to senior management and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field. Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management in a Jewellery manufacturing with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of quality control methods, tools, and techniques.
- Proficient in using quality management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of Jewellery industry standards.
