Senior Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time on-site position, located in Anklesvar, for a Senior Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer. This position is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining quality control and quality assurance policies and procedures, performing quality inspections, and identifying and resolving quality issues. This role also involves managing quality audits, documenting quality findings, and providing feedback to the relevant stakeholders.

• Responsible for shop floor QC activities.
• Ensuring calibration of Inspection and Test Equipment as per Calibration Procedure.
• Preparation of “QAP / ITP” as per approved drawing.
• Carrying out Material Inspection including preparation, review and verification of Material Test Report (MTR) / Material Test Certificate (MTC) and correlation with material markings.
• Incoming inspection of all materials.
• Ensuring correct transfer of marking(s) on material to be cut and recording it in “Material Heat Chart”.
• Preparing Material Heat Chart.
• Coordinating with NDE level I & II for relevant NDE.
• Ensuring completion of stage wise inspection and testing as per approved “QAP / ITP” and offer to the TPI / AI.
• Review/Prepare QA plans in assistance with QC team members and evaluate their accuracy. Make necessary amendments to the plan.
• Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, and equipment specific specifications are met.
• Performing quality review of completed products and control records of critical process steps before release of the product to the customer.
• Responsible for investigation and resolution of any deviations/NCRs from the required processes and quality related complaints. Responsible for closing NCRs.
• Manage Jr. employees of QC department, allocate work, oversee their day-to-day work, conduct performance reviews, participate in hiring process for QC department.
• Coordinate with Operations Head and ensure that correct material is issued to the production engineering team.
• Approve QAP for brought-out products that are manufactured/supplied by sub-contractors/vendors
• Fulfil requirements of ISO documentation.
• Witnessing Pressure Test and preparation of “Hydrostatic / Pneumatic Pressure Test Report”.
• Responsible for filing and maintaining all documents related to orders and filing of all quality records in Job’s File.

• Knowledge of construction codes (ASME BPVC Section VIII Div. 1, ASME Section IX, ASME Section V, TEMA, IS standards) mandatory
• Knowledge of ASME ‘U’ – Stamp, NBIC ‘R' Stamp, IBR-1950, PESO (CCOE) Certification mandatory
• Knowledge on the Quality standards (ISO 9001, 14001) preferred
• Knowledge of welding certification (CSWIP / AWS / IWE) preferred
• Awareness of Certifications AD 2000-Merkblatt HPO, PED, IBR is a plus
• Awareness of construction codes (ASME BPVC Section VIII Div. 2, API – 650, DIN, EN 13445, and PED 5500) is a plus
• Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks 3D) is a plus
• Quality Control and Inspection skills required
• Understanding of ASME – BPVC standards, TEMA standards, and Good Engineering Practices required.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills required
• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
