Filtec, a leader in water treatment solutions, is on the hunt for a Sales Engineer who can bebased across the lower North Island. This role can be flexible, with the expectation of visiting the Plimmerton office approximately once per month.
About the Role
As a Sales Engineer, you’ll partner with our Business Development team to support and maintain long-term client relationships, focusing on providing innovative water treatment solutions. The role is not just about sales; it requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and an aptitude for building trust-based partnerships with clients across councils and industrial sectors. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a technical background, and has experience of building real trusted relationships and wants to grow that into a Sales and Relationship management position. If you don't know water, that doesn't matter! Filtec is happy to train in this area and will look at candidates with a mechanical background from industries such as Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Process Engineering etc.Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their water treatment needs and provide tailored solutions
- Perform technical evaluations and create proposals in alignment with Filtec’s compliance and quality standards
- Work across the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to project support
- Stay current with industry standards and innovations to meet clients’ evolving needs
What We're Looking For
- Solid mechanical understanding; formal engineering qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- Proven experience in client relationship management
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think on your feet
- Motivation to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
