Regional Director, SaaS Product Management (Australia) Granicus is looking for a Regional Director for its Product Management team in Australia. We need a strong business leader with a deep interest in software, and its ability to impact global democracy, citizen engagement, and increased government transparency. We’re looking for a seasoned Product Management leader who can build and leverage strong teams. You are a passionate and experienced coach who is committed to guiding your team of Product Managers to develop and define the future of Granicus Products. You are ultimately responsible for aligning the team behind the most important concepts at any given time, with an eye toward driving growth in key metrics and constantly improving the user experience. Ideal candidates have a strong business acumen with a bias towards action. You are analytical, but also not afraid to take risks; and are able to combine concrete data with solid instincts to move our suite of products forward every day. **Candidates must live in Australia, & have Australian Citizenship or Perm. Resident Alien status to be considered. This is due to the government-related work our clients perform. ** What your impact will look like:

  • Work closely with leaders at all levels to deeply understand the business model and break down the 3-5 year company vision into actionable product plans.
  • Own and set the product roadmap, understanding and leading tradeoff decisions to most effectively meet the needs of stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Develop cross-product vision and strategy to more fully leverage organizational capabilities and drive greater value.
  • Coach and mentor Product team members, ensuring both individual guidance, as well as standard tools and processes are utilized to do their respective jobs.
  • Engage with the Engineering and Product teams to drive product development from ideation through implementation.
  • Be a key interface working with the Implementation, Customer Care and Support teams to continually learn from cases/deployment and provide added value for our customers.
  • Balance decision making by leveraging data/analytics with the art of sequencing and competitive insights to craft the path forward.
  • Proven ability to communicate, present, and sell your ideas to senior executives.
  • Dig deeply into data for insights and trends that help to determine success of features, enhancements and product integrations.
  • Monitor usage and revenue impact of new services to help determine future direction of product development.
You’ll love this job if you have / are:
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management.
  • Extensive experience in an Agile working environment across multiple timezones.
  • Exceptional work ethic, team mentality, positive attitude, highly-driven, self-motivated.
  • Proven history of developing great teams, in both shared and remote locations and a passion for helping others to succeed.
  • Skilled at breaking long-term vision down into a detailed and sequenced roadmap for success.
  • Ability to tie together a complex ecosystem of products and technologies, juggling multiple product schedules to align them with business needs.
  • Experience delivering high-quality technology products/services in a fast-moving environment where priorities and structures shift rapidly.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity drives you to ask great questions and seek supporting data to interpret the most important needs across products.
  • Technical depth that enables you to understand and earn the respect of the engineers you work with.
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills regardless of the audience — software engineers, product designers, business stakeholders, C-Suite Leaders, users, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Math) or MBA is a plus.
