Senior Supply Chain Manager

Job Overview The person will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain and operations of 800+ SKUs in the makeup industry, ensuring optimal inventory management across all channels, including general trade, ecommerce, modern trade, and exclusive brand outlets (EBOs). The role requires a dynamic leader with excellent analytical skills and a proven ability to streamline supply chain processes, avoid overstocking and understocking, and build a high-performance team. Key Responsibilities 1. Supply Chain Management - Oversee the entire supply chain lifecycle, from procurement to inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and distribution. - Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to avoid overstocking or understocking at all locations. - Develop strategies to optimize storage, distribution, and replenishment systems for 800 makeup SKUs across multiple channels. 2. Inventory Optimization - Implement and monitor inventory control processes to maintain the right balance of stock at various warehouse locations. - Develop and use advanced forecasting techniques to ensure inventory levels meet demand across general trade, ecommerce, modern trade, and EBOs. 3. SOP Development - Create, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations, dispatch processes, and logistics teams. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies to maintain efficiency and safety. 4. Warehouse & Logistics Operations - Establish efficient warehousing practices, ensuring that all makeup products are stored in optimal conditions to prevent damage and obsolescence. - Oversee logistics operations, including transportation and distribution, to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective solutions. 5. Team Leadership & Development - Recruit, train, and build a high-performance supply chain and operations team. - Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that encourages growth and productivity. - Act as a mentor and coach, ensuring the development of team members and effective succession planning. 6. Cross-Channel Coordination - Manage the supply chain across multiple sales channels, including general trade, ecommerce, modern trade, and EBOs, ensuring seamless coordination. - Liaise with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment of supply with business needs. 7. Vendor & Stakeholder Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability. - Negotiate contracts, manage performance, and resolve any issues related to supply chain disruptions. 8. Data Analysis & Reporting - Leverage data analytics to monitor supply chain performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements. - Provide regular reports on key supply chain metrics, including inventory turnover, stock levels, and logistics performance. 9. Process Improvement & Innovation - Continuously evaluate and enhance supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. - Implement automation and technological solutions to enhance warehouse, logistics, and inventory management operations. Key Qualifications - Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field. - 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on inventory and logistics operations. - Proven track record of managing large SKU portfolios, particularly in the retail or beauty industry. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. - Exceptional leadership and team-building skills; experience in developing and managing high- performing teams. - Experience with multi-channel operations, including general trade, ecommerce, modern trade, and EBOs. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders. - Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems. Preferred Skills - Experience in the beauty or cosmetics industry. - Knowledge of demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and warehousing best practices. - Strong negotiation and Optimisation skills. - Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SAP, or similar systems).
