Job Family: RigsBusiness Line: New Build RigsDepartment: New Build Rigs ProjectsClosing Date: 31-Dec-2024Overall responsible for Piping systems for new build rig. To coordinate and supervise fabrication, installation and testing of Piping systems. Monitors production while ensuring that efficiency, quality control and all other standards are always met. To oversee construction activities on work sites, assess project progress and to ensure projects are completed safely, on time.NBR Superintendent (Piping)Manage the construction day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and performance in accordance to project specification and budget.Familiar with Isometric drawings, General Arrangement and P&IDs.Supervise and monitor the progress of piping system fabrication and construction activities to ensure systems are properly constructed to the approved design and specifications.Plan and establish work schedules and production sequence to meet project goals.Monitor and inspect Piping activities from fabrication of spools to completion of systems. Conduct line check, hydrotest and re-instatement followed by MC prior to handing over for Commissioning.Establish manpower as per project schedule requirements and plan for all equipment and facilities required to execute works.Track Piping construction progress, highlight potential problems and recommend solutions.Work with all stakeholders to ensure piping systems are properly integrated with all other systems onboard.Bridge and review the Piping schematic drawings from theoretical to site construction.Prepare MTO (material take-off list) based on Piping drawings.Conduct weekly schedule coordination meetings with all subcontractor foremen to outline requirements of work completion and other issues, including manpower requirements, interference coordination, inspections, and sequence of work. Distribute three-week look ahead schedules and communicate schedule requirements with all subcontractors.Maintain a high-level control around cost of all construction consumables and equipment utilized during the construction works.Possess strong initiative around decision making and ability to conceptualize plans and technical solutions to deal with a wide array of standard and innovative construction issues.Liaise with and provide support to the project subcontractors to ensure that all contract obligations are met.Possess strong knowledge and understanding of shipyard HSEQ regulations and rig building job certification requirements and ensure the same is communicated to the project team on a regular basis.Identify work priorities, focus on the critical path, analyze work problems in writing with a problem-solving mentality, accurate supervision, decision-making skills, and readiness with 'Plan B' for unexpected issues.Fully responsible for delivery of all Inspection Test Records (ITR's) under the relevant discipline by effectively delegating to the foreman and chargehands, with a high focus on interfacing and coordination with all other discipline supervision to remove all blocks from achieving target dates.EducationTechnical Engineering Qualification (Diploma or equivalent).Bachelor Engineering Degree (preferred).Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English Language.ExperienceFor bachelor's degree holders, at least 9-15 years of experience in shipyard and preferably involved in offshore activities and/or rig building.Diploma holders must have at least 15 years of experience in the same industry and related experience.Experienced in handling rig building and similar offshore related projects which are of high value and with technical complexities.About Application ProcessIf you meet the criteria and you are enthusiastic about the role, we would welcome your application.
