We make business more personal by investing in building relationships and empowering our clients to make the right decisions for their organisation now and for the future.The role:Due to the strong growth experienced by the VAT department in recent years, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a VAT Director to work in our VAT tax team. This role will involve providing VAT support to Directors and Partners on tax advisory and liaising with Irish and international clients and advising on all relevant VAT issues. To be considered for this role you will have a relevant tax, legal or accountancy qualification and a minimum of eight years in a professional tax, legal or accountancy environment working within VAT.Main responsibilities:Managing a team of tax trainees and junior managers;Assisting the tax partners with the successful, timely and commercial delivery of tax advice to Irish and international clients;Identifying new products or services to existing and potential clients;Involvement in internal technical, business development and training initiatives;Managing the department's budget to include issuing fees and fee collection targets;Delegating to, managing and reviewing trainee/senior work on allocated clients;Mentoring/training more junior members of the VAT team.Skills and attributes:Minimum of 8/9 years' experience as a Chartered Tax Advisor having worked in a Big 4/Top 10 firm or legal practice;A thorough knowledge of VAT and relevant legislation;International/cross-border tax experience helpful but not essential.Reward and benefits:Our reward and benefits are designed to create an environment where our people can flourish.
