About the Team The Economics Strategy practice is a team of economists, econometricians, and public policy specialists. We advise our clients from the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors on the forces shaping their markets, helping them to make better informed decisions, and assisting them with developing strategies to create prosperity and well-being for themselves and the communities they are part of. We have a focus on topics related to digital transformation, economic development, international trade, as well as sustainability and social impact. What you’ll do: The role is ideal for candidates who want to work on challenges at the intersection of economics, public policy, and technology: As a Manager, you will be a people and project leader. You will lead consulting project teams, manage the working relationship with clients, plan the work of the team, and contribute your individual expertise to problem solving. Your tasks could include developing research methodologies including primary research design, developing approaches to data analysis including specifying econometric models, drafting and reviewing client deliverables, as well as making client and public presentations. You will be expected to work with other practices across the organisation with domain expertise in areas such as AI and digital transformation, as well as with colleagues in the Growth team designing high-impact solutions for our clients. You will also be intellectually curious and take pride in the quality of your output. What you’ll need: Essential Undergraduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy or similar, from a reputable university, with a strong academic track record. 2+ years of experience, preferably in consulting or public policy Strong with quantitative data research and analysis methods. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in team. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Highly Desirable Majors in Quantitative Economics or Econometrics. Post-graduate degrees (e.g. Masters or Ph D). Experience in client or stakeholder management. Leadership potential, as demonstrated through work experience. Work experience with top tier management consulting firms, key government agencies, regional development banks, and international organisations.
