Job details
- Performs repair and maintenance duties on a wide variety of kitchen, refrigeration, and laundry equipment such as walk-in freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, washers, ovens, dryers, dishwashers, water coolers, pressing machines, dry cleaning machines, and flat work ironers.
- Carries out periodic inspection, cleaning, and equipment servicing.
- Installs new equipment; ensures settings of wiring controls.
- Performs repairs on leaks.
- Changes equipment parts that have become old or defective.
- Attends quickly to emergency calls on equipment repair issues.
- Follows property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
- Complies with reasonable OSH instructions and safe working procedures.
- Technical degree/training in Kitchen & Laundry Equipment field, High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a hotel maintenance team.
- Proven work experience as Kitchen Technician or similar role.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Profound knowledge of various types of laundry, kitchen, and refrigeration equipment work.
- Strong ability to apply safety in various types of equipment efficiently and to maintain and service them.
- Strong knowledge of basic electrical practice, theory, and safety.
