Currie & Brown is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our Dwarka, Delhi office . The primary responsibility of the Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil & MEP is to lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for both Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and Civil works. The role involves providing expert cost advice, driving project success, and ensuring accurate budget management. Responsibilities for the successful Candidate will include:
- Lead the review and detailed analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents provided by clients and consultants to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Oversee the identification of Civil and MEP system requirements, including materials, equipment, labour, and other resources necessary for accurate cost estimation.
- Stay updated with and ensure compliance with applicable international codes and standards, such as NRM, POMI, and SMM7, guiding junior team members as needed.
- Ensure all cost estimates are aligned with industry standards, maintaining high levels of compliance, quality, and accuracy across all projects.
- Apply advanced measurement techniques to assess quantities accurately and provide guidance to less experienced team members in measurement methodologies.
- Proficiency in working with AutoCAD, MS Excel and related software.
- Familiarity with cost estimation software (e.g., CostX ) is an added advantage
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of Ten years’ technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy
- Pre- contract experience
- Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
