Job descriptionOur Global Compliance & Reporting team support businesses by preparing accounting calculations, auditing accounting calculations and the preparation and submission of direct tax returns for businesses across a number of sectors. In addition to the core compliance services we also provide UK corporation tax advisory support to our clients to assist with their compliance obligations.By integrating deep technical and sector specific knowledge with established methodologies and cutting-edge tax technologies they support clients ranging from FTSE listed groups, PE backed funds and inbound and helping them develop and implement effective, practical and sustainable tax strategies.Due to significant growth following a number of high profile client wins we are looking for an experienced and driven Corporate Tax Manager in our London office. The role offers the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most exciting clients in the market to help support them as they navigate an ever increasingly complex tax environment.Your key responsibilitiesGrow and maintain relationships with clients, both existing and new clientsHigh level management of the successful delivery of technically complex compliance and reporting engagements as well as the delivery of any related consulting projectsProviding exceptional client service with responsibility for quality providedWorking collaboratively with other tax specialist teamsGrow networks and relationships internallyHelp people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staffLead team initiatives, covering all aspects of leading a successful teamSkills and attributes for successExperience in Corporate Tax from practice or from an in-house tax backgroundClient relationship management skillsNegotiation skills, able to sustain opinion and exhibit strong stakeholder managementBusiness development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell workEffective time management, ability to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlinesExcellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oralEnthusiastic team player with ability to create and sustain effective teamsExperience of coaching and developing more junior staffEnsure delivery of quality workTo qualify for the role you must haveACA/CA/ACCA/CTA; or Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training Course; or Law qualificationDegree qualifiedExperienced corporate tax practitionerExperience in tax accounting/tax auditProven ability to read and interpret existing and new tax statuteIdeally, you'll also haveProject management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor own budgetWhat we look forTeam player; ability to integrate with new teams quicklyOutgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality outputExcellent communicator in range of situations both written and oralChange orientated with flexible approachWhat working at EY offersWe offer a competitive remuneration package where you'll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
