Shipping & Receiving Office-Admin Coordinator-MedinaMedina, OH 44256, USAJob DescriptionPosted Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 5:00 AMObjective / PurposeTo perform the clerical duties of the Shipping & Receiving Office as liaison between the Corporate Transportation Department and the Medina facility.Areas of Responsibility / TasksPerformance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.Order Processing:Responsible for ensuring order accuracy; verifying allocated quantities and adhering to customer requests.Preparing all shipping documents including but not limited to pick tickets, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels.Process UPS shipments utilizing UPS WorldShip software and generating associated labels.Update End of Month Reports during order processing.Communication:Assist warehouse personnel with order correction and other order-related inquiries.Schedule all inbound and outbound deliveries, managing dates and times.Direct inbound deliveries and outbound shipments to the appropriate (un)loading dock.Communicate to the bulk office when to scale non-bulk shipments upon request.Ryder Fleet Management: updating the dock schedule communication and coordinating trailer placement.Keep management abreast of significant issues or developments that impact quality, operations, and customer satisfaction.Quality Compliance:Ensure all ISO documentation is current and adhered to.Participate in completion of corrective action reports.Participate in facility objectives focused on customer satisfaction and continual improvement.Safety Compliance:Adhere to all Company safety policies.Notify leadership of observed safety violations and/or hazards.Clerical duties:Organize fulfilled shipping documents in preparation of shipment confirmation.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Other duties as assigned by the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.Minimum Qualifications / Education / CertificationsEducation: Associate degree or related training equivalent - preferredMinimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility - preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office (with emphasis on Microsoft Excel) and a capability to learn basic systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage time, organize, and set priorities.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
