Your new company A leading global medical technology company is seeking a Finance and Cost Accountant for their Manufacturing Plant in North Dublin. This role involves preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, conducting margin variance analysis, and monitoring standard cost variances. Responsibilities also include participating in monthly close activities, calculating standard product costs in SAP, and driving process improvements in cost accounting. The position requires providing finance guidance for pricing simulations, ensuring timely SAP closing and reporting, and acting as a business partner across the manufacturing site. The ideal candidate is an ambitious professional passionate about healthcare innovation and continuous improvement in the finance function. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate for the Finance and Cost Accountant position should have a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) and 3-5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. They must excel in delivering information and financial support, be self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Strong knowledge of lean initiatives and continuous improvement, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and advanced Excel proficiency are essential. Experience in a multinational environment, familiarity with SAP and IFRS, and proficiency in intelligence reporting tools like Power BI, process automation, and design optimisation are also advantageous.
