Job Title: Assistant Professor Department: Arts and Sciences | Economics Position Overview The Department of Economics at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in applied microeconomics to begin in August 2025. The research areas include education, household/consumer finance, innovation, labor, public, or urban economics with a preference for someone whose work relates to economic disparities. Performance Objectives The candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an active research program and support our commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of a diverse student body at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Education and Experience Requirements Required: Candidates must have a PhD in Economics or a related field before employment begins in August 2025, and have a research, teaching, and service record commensurate with rank. Desired: Candidates should demonstrate attentiveness to building a diverse intellectual community, in line with OSU’s shared values.
