The Settlements Officer reports to our Settlements Manager and will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and thorough operational compliance checks across all products. As we embark on a period of significant growth, the Settlements Officer will be accountable for the correct payment of funds and opening of loans. The role represents an opportunity to support the wider team, business objectives, and operational improvements. As Settlements Officer, you can expect to:- Ensure legal requirements are upheld and a high standard of quality and efficiency is maintained in line with policies, procedures, and processes.
- Be relentlessly helpful and customer-centric in your approach both internally and externally.
- Ensure precise and punctual input of data, demonstrating high attention to detail when handling loan documents.
- Follow up information with advisors, brokers, dealers, and other parties as required.
- Adhere to and maintain operational/lending controls, policies and guidelines, and business operational compliance as well as AML regulations.
- Support lenders, brokers, and dealers in the settlement process to ensure excellent customer service is maintained internally and externally.
- Maintain good working relationships within the team, proactively contributing to team discussions and a willingness to accept constructive feedback.
- Understand risk assessment across AFL lending and credit policies.
- Experience in a similar administrative role.

- Ability to work autonomously and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and ability to work with change.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult customers.
