We are looking for a Net Zero and Decarbonisation Consultant to support our Strategy and Advisory team. This role will be based in our Cape Town office in South Africa. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Consultant seeking a position within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering that provides a significant opportunity for progression and career development. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Independently manage the delivery of project tasks and progressively build up towards a client-facing role.
  2. Time and task independent management.
  3. Project management of a smaller scope of work.
  4. Delivery of consultancy projects to high levels of quality within project deadlines.
  5. Client-facing and maintain high level of client & project manager satisfaction.
  6. Guide more junior team members within the project team.
  7. Ad-hoc analytical and research work for the division.
  8. Reporting to a Principal / Management Consultant.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Degree in relevant subject (Civil Engineering, General Engineering, Energy, Sustainable Development, etc.). Specialization in renewable energy or LCA preferred.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience.
  3. Carbon emissions accounting & modeling (preferable experience in Mena; calculations using GHG Protocol or other).
  4. Built Environment Decarbonisation knowledge and awareness of sustainable materials used in construction & circularity, energy & water efficiency measures.
  5. Life cycle analysis, One Click LCA.
  6. Understanding of the whole life cycle analysis in built environment.
  7. ESG / GRI knowledge and reporting is an added value.
  8. Excellent Excel & Power Point presentation / graphics skills / Word reports.
  9. Ability to work independently based on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  10. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Good listening skills.
  11. Curiosity and willingness to learn on the go.
