Job Summary The Inventory Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control, and maintaining optimal stock levels to meet operational needs. This role involves monitoring inventory flow, conducting regular audits, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and minimize discrepancies. Key Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Management
    • Monitor stock levels and maintain optimal inventory to meet business demands.
    • Analyze inventory data to forecast future stock needs and trends.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of inventory levels to management.
  2. Stock Control
    • Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
    • Identify discrepancies and investigate causes, implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Oversee the receiving and storage of inventory, ensuring proper handling and organization.
  3. Data Entry and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory management system.
    • Generate regular reports on inventory status, stock turnover, and obsolescence.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on inventory analysis.
  4. Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to coordinate inventory levels.
    • Communicate with suppliers regarding stock levels and lead times.
    • Assist in training staff on inventory procedures and best practices.
  5. Process Improvement
    • Identify areas for improvement in inventory processes and implement solutions.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to inventory management.
Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience : 2-3 years of proven experience in inventory control or management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Skills :
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and inventory management tools.
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
