We're recruiting 'DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) Specialist' for one of our clients based in Saudi Arabia.Job Description:In this role, we're looking for somebody who can oversee the DRI production process and optimize reduction rates.Key Responsibilities:Develop maintenance schedules for DRI reactors and equipment.Analyze production data to improve efficiency.Contribute to the design of DRI plants, specify equipment requirements and layout.Recommend the most suitable technology based on raw materials and local conditions.Define technical specifications for DRI reactors, gas systems, and material handling equipment.Ensure proper installation of DRI-specific equipment.Develop and implement commissioning plans for DRI units.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.In-depth understanding of iron and steel metallurgy.Familiarity with various DRI technologies (e.g., MIDREX, HYL).Knowledge of process control systems and automation.Typically 10-15 years of experience in the iron and steel industry, with specific experience in DRI operations.Hands-on experience with DRI plant operations and maintenance.Project management experience, especially for construction-related roles.Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) can be advantageous.Awareness of environmental regulations in the steel industry.Competitive salary package and other employee benefits as per UAE labour law.
