About the role The Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist is responsible for conducting neuropsychological assessment and providing intervention strategies for Aboriginal people (18+) who have acquired brain injuries, neurodevelopmental disorders, and/or neurocognitive disorders. The Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist will contribute to professional development and clinical education for mental health clinicians. To be considered for this position, you will require:
  • Master’s degree or higher in Clinical Neuropsychology with full registration with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and with Clinical Neuropsychology Endorsement.
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnostic neuropsychological assessments, case formulation, and behavioural interventions planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in neuropsychological report writing and developing appropriate recommendations for clients, their families, and other care providers.
  • Demonstrated experience in adjusting communication of neuropsychological assessment for multiple audiences including people with limited literacy and English language skills.
  • Awareness of Aboriginal culture within Australia’s history, knowledge of cultural sensitivities and current issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal people in conjunction with a willingness to incorporate Aboriginal values into clinical practice.
