Partner/Director/ HOD Employment (Solicitor), £120 -£140k + growth shares, Kent, 70% remote working + benefits. Join an ambitious, private equity-backed People Services business that is redefining the way SMEs in the UK access Legal, HR, H&S, and Employee Benefits services. My client is looking for a dynamic, driven and entrepreneurial Employment Partner/similar to lead the division as in this capacity within their growing employment division. With a solid foundation of circa 10 fee earners, support staff, and over 100 established clients, the employment division is poised for significant expansion. Ranked as Tier 2 in the Legal 500, the division offers excellent potential for a leader who is ready to manage, grow, and innovate within a non-traditional legal environment. The Role In this high-level role, you will be pivotal in driving the success of the employment division while aligning with the group’s overall business growth strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Business Development : Spearheading initiatives to expand the employment practice by leveraging the firm’s strong referral network, cross-selling services to the group’s client base, and developing new client relationships.
- Team Leadership: Leading, motivating, and developing a skilled team of employment solicitors and support staff to achieve excellence in client service .
- Strategic Growth : Working closely with the senior executive team to shape the division’s growth strategy, which includes organic growth and potential acquisitions.
- Counsel to Holding Company : Providing employment law counsel to the firm’s holding company and ensuring legal compliance across our People Services offerings .
- Client Relations : Offering expert counsel on complex employment matters to a diverse range of SME clients, retained and one-off.
- A qualified solicitor/similar.
- Minimum of 10 + years successful Employment experience in a high-level role aligned to the level of this position.
- Driven and entrepreneurial with a passion for business development and an innovative mindset.
- Experienced in leading and managing a team of legal professionals.
- A specialist in Employment Law, capable of delivering high-level strategic advice and managing complex client relationships.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, non-traditional legal environment that integrates consultancy services.
- Possessing a client following is an advantage but not essential.
