Overview of the Post We are seeking an experienced SAP Systems Analyst with a proficient level of delivering experienced application and business process improvements, defining requirements and process mapping the AS IS and To BE Process for new functionality. A Continuous Improvement Mindset and Lean approach will be required to work on procurement projects. The applicant should have a good understanding of SAP FI/CO and SAP MM. The successful candidate will need to work closely with a third-party software house to translate IT specifications for Jones engineering stakeholders. Your abilities & responsibilities will include: Working with business partners to gather requirements for complex business procedures while providing best business practices knowledge to aid the design process for our company. Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the SAP modules and business process expertise needed to design and deliver the necessary solutions. Analyzing and evaluating business requirements and developing User Stories, consulting with personnel from various departments and identifying areas for the development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes. Co-ordination of workshops with business stakeholders including documentation of requirements and securing business sign off. Promoting and implementing best-practice solutions (business processes and SAP functionality). Proactively addressing problems and troubleshooting project issues. Provide technical direction in the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of large-scale, enterprise applications projects. Working closely with our procurement operations staff and with third party IT partners to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Working with business partners to fully understand the user functionality, pain points, and areas of improvements within our applications. Assist and help the delivery of special projects and small enhancements and assist in reviewing and improving policies and procedures. Review statistics, validate or challenge the way things have always been done and identify areas for process and/or support tool improvements and efficiencies. Knowledge of SAP Production Planning and SAP Quality Management modules. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must with the ability to deliver presentations and Workshops to SMEs and Stakeholders and where appropriate, the ability to generate training Content to the SAP End User Community. Lead and Co-ordinate UAT Testing with cross functional user groups. A clear understanding of Data Integrity and Key Master Data in SAP MM would be desirable. Documentation: Complete detail-oriented documentation for new and moderately complex processes. Responsible for the quality and validity of produced documents. Extract and document customer/business requirements and needs for use by enterprise architecture and engineering teams (network, system, and software). Process Improvement: Ability to manage process improvement efforts. Create and update processes, as necessary. Ability to independently recognize opportunities for process improvements. Project Management: Take ownership of a project and distribute tasks to team members and meet milestone completion. Update all project management and time tracking tools accordingly. Working Knowledge of Agile Methodology and/or SDLC would be an advantage. Second and Third Level Support (Including Maintenance Activities): Independently triage and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 support issues. Act as a mentor to less experienced staff in resolution of Level 2 and Level 3 issues. Ability to handle problem management as appropriate. Self-Development: Responsible for continuous self-study, training, partnering with more senior members of team, and/or seeking out opportunities to broaden scope to stay up to date with industry and organizational trends. Seeks feedback from senior team members for development and effectively incorporates feedback into work and behaviors. System Integration: May be responsible for coordination of tasks and resources related to system integration, validation of testing and implementation. Vendor Relationships: Interact with vendors (technical issues, project initiatives) independently, as necessary. Ability to act as the point person for issue escalation. Interactions with Others: Successfully completes projects, tasks, and initiatives by embracing a team-first approach. Works in collaboration with team and offers feedback, where appropriate, to complete individual and group efforts. Shows the ability to adjust and be flexible to change by adapting approach when necessary. Mentors less experienced staff. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Relevant Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Commerce, or related area. Typically has 5+ years' experience working with business applications, particularly SAP/ECC or S4/Hana. Other ERP Systems are desirable. Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment. Demonstrates thorough understanding of information technology fundamental tools and concepts (SDLC) of one of the information technology professional disciplines and applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to IT work within a Jones engineering department or function. Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python. Experience with database management systems. Ability to analyze and create tests and develop specifications and requirements for developers and programmers to follow.
