Transport Planner Opportunity - Dublin 8 Salary: Up to €40,000 per annum We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics company based in Dublin 8, seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in fleet management, planning, and logistics to take on a key role within a growing business. The Role: As a Transport Planner, you'll be responsible for the planning and scheduling of company resources, including transporters and drivers, ensuring operational efficiency and top-notch customer service. You'll have the autonomy to make impactful decisions, manage daily logistics, and contribute to meeting business targets. Key Responsibilities: Electronically build and assign loads for collection and delivery. Plan driver schedules, routes, and journey times, ensuring all health and safety regulations are met. Communicate clearly and assertively with drivers and office teams to maintain smooth operations. Monitor deliveries and proactively manage potential delays, keeping customers informed. Liaise with customers and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships. Track transporter locations and ensure they align with planning. Assist in scheduling vehicle maintenance and service checks. What We're Looking For: Fleet management experience (CPC qualification preferred). Strong knowledge of Dublin, Leinster, and Ireland routes. Comfortable working to tight deadlines and reporting on KPIs. Familiarity with SAP, Excel, and asset tracking software. A team player with the ability to work independently when required. High flexibility, including availability for occasional Saturday shifts following bank holidays.
