Experienced personnel with a background in PMC, EPC or EPCM projects, that can take on senior positions within the organisation and use their experience to steer the team to deliver outstanding performance across a portfolio of projects for Major Operators. Projects within the EPCM model are wide and varied covering both onshore and offshore Brownfield Assets; typical examples include: Onshore Pipeline Controls System Upgrades Offshore Aset enhancement projects covering multiple system and equipment on large platforms, Wellhead Towers and Islands We are committed to delivering the EPCM Model and as such require the right people to be part of our Wood Abu Dhabi Team as part of this exciting journey. Job Objective The safe and effective delivery of a portfolio of Brownfield Safety Critical Projects on multiple offshore platforms; including large production complexes (multiple platforms bridge linked) and remote Wellhead Towers, located offshore within the UAE under an EPCM contracting model. Typical projects include Fire & Gas System Upgrades, Power Upgrades, Control System Upgrades, Flare System Upgrades and Platform Structural Modifications. Identification and management of all interfaces both internally within Wood and externally with client organisation, construction contractor and other projects. Produce and manage Interface Management Plan covering all interfaces for the portfolio of projects throughout all phases of the project(s) lifecycle, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, Completions and Commissioning. Provide certainty and confidence to the client and Wood project sponsor that the contract is being delivered safely with a strong focus on optimization, cost control, risk management, schedule adherence and stakeholder management. Responsibilities Key accountabilities and responsibilities: Project Execution Develop comprehensive Interface Management Plan which addresses contract management level interfaces, project portfolio level interfaces and individual project interfaces. Interface Management Plan(s) shall cover all internal Wood interfaces covering Design, Procurement, Construction Planning, Construction Execution (management of construction contractor), Mechanical Completions, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Handover to Operations as well as interfaces with other projects outside of the contract scope. Establish strong working relationships with all Stakeholders to understand their issues / concerns and requirements, incorporate into the Project Execution Plan and Interface Management Plan. Participate in key project sessions, including Kick-off Meetings, Design Review, HAZOPS's, Constructability Review, HSEIA Studies, Constructability Reviews, Construction Method Statements, SIMOP's, Commissioning Preparation, Handover Planning to ensure all interfaces are identified and managed efficiently. Engagement with Client Operations team to identify shutdown windows which can be used to effect system tie-ins to reduce production down time. Participate in development of project master program, including establishment of milestones and phasing to ensure all interfaces are identified, captured and interface actions implemented. Conducts Regular Interface Management Meeting with all Key Stakeholders and provides feedback to Project Director, Project Manager(s) and Client. Support delivery of engineering excellence through coordinating and delivering the engineering for projects in line with schedule and in accordance with applicable procedures, specifications, and standards. Ensures accurate and timely delivery of work and resolves minor delays and changes to the satisfaction of both internal and external stakeholders. Challenge preferential requirements during the design and execution phase and work with Project Manager(s) to resolve conflict. Identify Key Risk areas early within the project and facilitate meetings with required stakeholders to ensure alignment and plans are put in place to drive resolution to avoid conflict and delays during execution. Provide leadership and management to ensure safe, cost effective and timely resolution of all interfaces. Enforces the use of Change Management process to identify and approve modifications to scope, cost, schedule, and quality. Drives ongoing focus on risk identification and mitigation during project execution. Participates in the set-up of information management systems / applications as applicable to suit various life phases of projects and manage information management within the project team. Desired candidate profile Guides and supports project team including external specialists and construction contractors, working in multiple offices and sites. Is an advocate and role model for ethical behaviour and compliance with applicable laws and policies. Internal Working relationships: Provides the interface and maintains effective relationships with other contributors to the project. Interfaces with global execution centres and supports delivery of scopes from across all offices involved. Interface and coordinate with Operational and/or Contract Management to ensure delivery of operational goals. External Establishes and maintains a positive and effective customer relationship with client Project, Offshore Operations, Marine Logistics and Asset Planning, and Asset Integrity teams. Establishes and maintains a positive and effective relationship with construction contractors and vendors to remove conflict and ensure schedule adherence Level Of Influence And Decision Making Authority Work is performed under general direction and is reviewed for conformance with policies and general efficiency Engages with Project Managers for their assigned projects and escalates key interfaces and risks to the Project Director. Solves problems requiring an understanding of financial and commercial implications. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS B.S. or equivalent degree in Engineering from an accredited university Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or equivalent certification is preferred. Minimum Experience Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil & gas offshore projects. Knowledge, Skills And Experience Experience as part of Contractor Management Team in EPC and / or EPCM contracts for offshore Brownfield Oil & Gas projects for major Oil & Gas companies. Experience as part of Contractor Management Team of managing offshore projects containing marine spreads and materials movement and logistics as part of the scope. Specific experience in the Middle East for renowned clients, preferred. Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, including implementation of Interface Management Plans and the effective management to achieve project success. Personality, ability, and experience to successfully identify and manage internal and external interfaces to achieve project objectives. Thorough understanding of project management techniques and practices. High level of professional competence and management skills to motivate the team to achieve high quality performance during the execution of the portfolio of projects. Thorough knowledge of project success and benefits management. Understands the needs of information management requirements in the project phases (operation), internal (contractual, statutory) and asset (customer) documentation. Knowledge of commercial and contract conditions applicable to the procurement of various types of goods and services. Robust knowledge of all handover and close-out activities required for customer, company and suppliers.
