Rooney Earthmoving Ltd is a large family-owned South Island business with work bases in Invercargill, Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton and Christchurch. We have been around for over 45 years and have become a trusted, progressive brand in the civil construction industry. Due to a vacancy and very busy workloads in 2024, we are recruiting for permanent Transporter Driver to join our Timaru. If you have worked in civil contracting before, can communicate well and have a good understanding of NZ transport regulations, you might be the one we are looking for. We value hard work and motivation in our team, and we expect you to be a good team player with a great attitude. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
    • Minimum Class 5 Full clean Driver’s License.
    • Experienced at light and heavy transporting including chaining down equipment.
    • Qualified as a BESS.
    • Skilled at operating a wide range of construction machinery.
    • Self-motivated, organised and able to plan your own work.
