With a presence in multiple cities in India, we are expanding rapidly and looking for talented individuals to join our team. About the Role We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Design Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles, materials, and fabrication techniques to develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces. You will work closely with internal design team to bring concepts from sketches to final production. What are we looking for?
- Design Development: Create original furniture designs that align with company aesthetics and meet market trends through detailed sketches, CAD models, and prototypes.
- Research & Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to inform design decisions and incorporate new ideas into your work.
- Finish Selection: Choose appropriate materials, finishes, and colors for each design.
- Technical Specifications: Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing, including dimensions, materials, and assembly instructions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the creation of prototypes and test them for functionality, durability. Make necessary adjustments based on testing results.
- Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Familiar with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Blender, or similar.
- Strong creative and artistic abilities.
- Excellent technical drawing and rendering skills.
- Knowledge of furniture production processes and materials (wood, metal, upholstery, etc.).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
