Job details
History taking, physical examinations, interpretation of common diagnostic tests and documentation of patient condition.Providing patient care within the parameters of their professional competence as reflected in the scope of their clinical privileges for both in-patient and out-patient.Practice within the framework of clinically relevant and scientifically valid standards, guidelines, and criteria.Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on patients within the range of the specialty.Diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of inflammatory diseases of teeth and surrounding tissues.Splinting of mobile teeth and extraction of non-retainable teeth (including atraumatic extraction prior to implant).Perform surgical periodontal procedures as indicated in clinical privileges.Perform surgical procedures of implant placement and guided tissue regeneration as indicated in clinical privileges.Establish recall treatment programs (supportive periodontal therapy) to monitor oral health practices.Strict observation of joint consultation with colleagues for cases requiring expertise from different dental sub-specialties.Assessment and referral of appropriate patients under medical care to other medical facilities, as well as accepting referrals of patients with medical problems in the specialty field.Respond to emergencies to offer advice and actively participate, if required, related to the specialty field.Effective treatment planning considering comprehensive aspects.Monitor adequacy of equipment and sterilization for the delivery of related health services to prevent cross-contamination.Observe and uphold patient rights of security, confidentiality, and privacy.Maintain appropriate records of all patients with accurate, timely, and legible completion of patient's medical records.Provide education to patients and families about care plans.Refer finished cases to the restorative or prosthodontic department for final restorations of teeth as needed.Participate actively in Continued Medical Education (C.M.E) through educational hospital activities, as well as national and international meetings, conferences, and symposiums.Continuously update knowledge in the medical field and upgrade skills in the professional field.Participate in committee meetings as assigned.Abide by department policies and procedures, hospital by-laws, rules, and regulations.Supervise junior staff in conducting their duties and responsibilities as designated by the department.Carry out other assignments as directed by hospital administration and/or the department chairman within the realm of knowledge, skills, and abilities.SkillsDexterity, surgical skills, professionalism, education, leadership, innovation.
