ResponsibilitiesSupervise and train staff in day-to-day laundry operations and prioritizing of daily tasksEnsure guest laundry, dry cleaning and pressing is completed according to set standardsEnsure all guest requests are promptly and professionally met; liaise with Resident Services Manager and Butler team in this respectRecord guest and staff laundry lists accuratelyFully comply with Opera system requirements, by posting bills accurately and on timeEnsure that guest supplies are in stockAssist Laundry Manager in assessing staff attendance and performanceAssist Laundry Manager in the processing of all departmental paperworkAssist Laundry Manager in taking proper inventories and quality checksTrain the team in LQA standardsConduct daily briefings with staffProperly fill all laundry reportsRegularly check all laundry machinery ensuring all filters are cleaned regularly and press covers are in good condition; report any machine defects to EngineeringEnsure staff are using laundry equipment properly and keeping them in good conditionAssist and liaise with Housekeeping Manager regarding the laundering of sundry guest room items e.g. net curtains, cushion coversLiaise with Linen/Uniform Room Supervisor regarding the processing of Linens and UniformsKeep a strict control of items sent for laundering by staff membersComply with hotel's health, safety and hygiene policyAdhere to personal grooming and hygiene standardsFully understand the difference of guest levels (VIP)QualificationsPERSONAL ATTRIBUTESMust be able to lead and manage a team and have previous experience of doing soKnowledge of Opera Property Management System would be desirableMust be proficient in Microsoft Office
