Chef

Position: Chef Location: Kaitaia, Northland Type Full time, Permanent. Our busy café is looking for a dynamic Chef to help us with the busy environment. If you are keen on leading and have prior relevant experience of at least 3 years or have relevant qualification, we may have a career opportunity for you. We want someone with hands down experience in cooking and planning menus. We are looking at someone who has worked in a similar role for at least three years or has relevant qualification. Chef In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Planning menus
• Ensuring food quality and taste is of the highest standard
• Managing inventory of stock and ordering raw materials
• Controlling budgets and minimizing wastage
• Maintaining health and hygiene in the kitchen
• Organizing duty roster of the staff
• Recruiting, training and developing staff

Applicant must be able to do flexible working hours, including nights, weekends and Public Holidays as the role requires. We have zero tolerance for substance abuse. You may be willing to undergo mandatory drug-test and pre-employment police check. Salary range for the position is $29.66-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
