Manager of Surveying Engineering SectionParticipates in the establishment of strategies, policies, and goals for the company, as well as for the Business Unit.Derives and develops medium and short-term plans and executive programs to manage and achieve Business Unit's goals.Advises top management on strategic business developments, key corporate planning issues, and makes recommendations on various business decisions.Monitors Business Unit's performance against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and preventive/corrective actions are taken accordingly.Sets the estimated budget and monitors the Business Unit's expenditures and financial performance in coordination with the CFO.Disseminates instructions, circulars, and information in addition to issuing administrative, organizational, and technical decisions necessary to fulfill endorsed plans and executive programs.Conducts periodic meetings with subordinates within the Business Unit to ensure that priorities are clear and workflow is running smoothly.Prepares technical proposals and cost estimates regarding topographic surveying for any new project.Supervises and ensures coordination with the Project Manager/Client or engineers from other disciplines regarding planning the required surveying work.Distributes survey works among the surveyors after preparing a reliable time-schedule of site survey works in line with the overall project time schedule.Studies legal records to establish boundaries of properties and maintains sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.Leads and supervises the survey team and manages the preparation of the surveying section reports which clarifies the profiles and coordinates or boundaries for anything (properties, buildings, utilities, etc.) above, on, or beneath the surface of the Earth in a cadastral survey.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably with a background in Geographical Information Systems or a relevant field.More than 20 years of professional experience in the field of Surveying Engineering.Deep knowledge in surveying codes, guidelines, and standards.Deep knowledge of algebra, basic calculus, geometry, and trigonometry.Knowledge in civil engineering codes, guidelines, and standards.Capable of establishing topographic survey sections using the up-to-date surveying equipment such as GPS and Total Station Equipment.Capable of using Leica Geo-office, Topcon tools, or any other surveying software.Capable of using various project management software applications such as MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD/STAD.Skilled in estimating project resource requirements (manpower, materials, financial).
