Position Overview:  We are seeking a Data Science Analyst with a strong focus on Power BI, Looker Studio and other data visualization tools to join our dynamic team at our Chennai Headquarters. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, preferably within the retail domain. As a Data Science Analyst, you will be responsible for transforming data into insights that drive key business decisions. You should have a strong background in data visualization, storytelling, and business intelligence tools to support decision-making and strategy development.   Key Responsibilities:  ● Data Analysis & Visualization: Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to uncover insights and present them visually using Power BI and other tools such as Tableau or QlikView. ● Business Intelligence: Build interactive and visually compelling dashboards to track key business metrics and support decision-making processes. ● Retail Data Insights: Analyze customer behavior, sales performance, inventory levels, and supply chain data to provide actionable insights for business growth. ● Reporting & Presentations: Design and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports that can be easily understood by stakeholders across different departments. ● Data-Driven Strategy: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to leverage data for business strategy development and optimization. ● Predictive Modeling: Apply statistical techniques and predictive models to identify trends and forecast future outcomes. ● Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy and quality through regular audits and data validation checks. ● Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration across different systems. Qualifications: ● Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. ● Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience as a Data Science Analyst, with a proven track record in the retail sector (preferred). ● Technical Skills: ● Proficiency in Power BI (essential). ● Experience with other data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or D3.js. ● Strong understanding of SQL for querying large datasets. ● Familiarity with Python or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation. ● Experience with Excel and advanced functions. ● Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms (preferred). ● Retail Domain Expertise: Experience in analyzing and interpreting data related to customer behavior, sales, inventory, or other retail operations. ● Soft Skills: ● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. ● Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. ● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
