Job briefFor over 17 years Aum Architects is one of the leading & reputed design companies thatspecializes in architectural and interior design.The incumbent Designer/architect is an essential part of our team, in designing and executinginterior design projects of varying sizes and categories. We are looking for 1 candidate who willbe able to undertake these varieties of designing projects. The candidate will deal with designfrom conceptual development and liaising with stakeholders to managing and executing thedesign.The goal is to design practical spaces that yet visually pleasing with relevant administrativeprocesses to be followed for its execution; including the following but not limited to thoroughplanning and goal setting, communication and progressive reporting, and project management.ResponsibilitiesWorking to a brief that details the space utilization.Develop the design details based on the concept shared by the Senior Architect.Inspect and generate relevant survey drawings.Interpret and translate customer needs into preliminary layouts that also include electrical/falseceiling layouts.Reviewing construction documents to ensure that specifications meet design requirements.Research and suggest materials and subsequent product sourcing. Also, oversee thetimely delivery and installation of the same.Produce "sample" and "mood products" as and when needed.Supervise work progress by coordinating with the site supervisor and the head contractors, toensure that construction meets design specifications.Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practicesThinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to createsketches and drawings that work.Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to thesenior architect, before releasing the drawings to the subcontractors, Site manager, etc.Checking material requirements from site, placing an order, and follow-up of the timely delivery ofthe same.Maintaining the minutes of the meeting for client interaction, irrespective of attendance or not.To take notes from the attendee.Maintaining a registry of the order list, checking them against challan, and final bill checking ofvendors and contractors.Support the Senior Management team in producing detailed project timelines with internalmilestones. Provide regular and timely updates and progress reports to the Directors and/orAssociates.RequirementsBeing Creative, imaginative, Innovative, and having an eye for design details.Proficient in AutoCAD, and SketchUp (Photoshop and Vray knowledge a must)Excellent communication and presentation skillsExpertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations.Project management skillsEffective time management and logical decision-making ability.Excellent communication skills; listening, comprehension, and feedback.
