Senior hydraulic Technician is responsible to safely, timely and cost-effectively lead the performance of l related day to day hydraulic maintenance activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.Key AccountabilitiesAdhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.Carry out diagnosis of faults, the maintenance, and repairs to all types of shipyard equipment (Fixed and Mobile) in a safe, timely and professional manner and return assets to operational service.Carry out preventive maintenance scheduled and planned work orders as required and provide feedback to improve the program efficiency.Understand, observe, and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP and Asset Management System.Log completion of work and enter adequate work orders history data into IFS (IMI ERP System).Ensure that maintenance contractors are utilized efficiently, cost effectively and in accordance with company procedures.Lead activities to move, install, mothball, and reposition of equipment.Identify spares requirements and monitor their utilization.Work within 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain workplace to a high standard.Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.Undertake special projects as required.Contribute to continuous improvement activities.Undertake continuous training and development.Lead and/or support young trainees, apprentices & people within own work group.QualificationTechnical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Knowledge of general shipyard assets/machinery/equipment mechanical maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.Responsible for developing and training hydraulics technicians in performing setups, running tests, and performing data acquisition.Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information, professionally reading drawings and diagrams.ExperienceMinimum 9-12 years of practical mechanical experience.Preferably to have shipyard experience, understanding shipyard operations workflow, processes, and priorities.Specific experience working on machine tools hydraulic/pneumatic systems as pipe/steel bending machines, steel forming equipment, material handling/positioning equipment, welding manipulators/positioners and rotators this includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintainingAbout Application ProcessIf you meet the criteria and you are enthusiastic about the role, we would welcome yourapplication.Tocomplete the application you would need the following document(s):
