We require Tilers to join the team.

  • This is a permanent role
  • Full time, with minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday with weekend jobs available
  • Competitive remuneration $29.66-$35.00 per hour depending on experience
About the Role You will be based in Te Anau, Southland. What you will do Tasks include (but are not limited to):
  • Examine plans, measure and mark surfaces and laying out work
  • Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces
  • Spread adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and set tiles in position
  • Use tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes
  • Ensure tiles are correctly aligned and spaced
  • Grout tiles, clean and remove excess grout
  • Apply waterproofing systems
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Report defects accidents or violations
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Assist with any other tasks as and when required
The successful applicant will
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant and verifiable experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willing to undergo pre-employment screening.
  • Physically fit and able to manage work on regular basis.
  • A dedication to Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • A proven track record in safety compliance.
  • Ability to pass a workplace medical exam including drug and alcohol testing.
  • You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
