Purpose Assist with the delivery of our NSW and ACT capital works program across the Office portfolio whilst maintaining the quality of the portfolio, realising sustainability goals and attraction of new tenants and optimising the profitability and investment returns. You will be reporting to the National Capital Works Manager for Office while supporting the NSW and ACT Capital Works team to efficiently deliver projects on time, on budget, with minimal impact to our tenant customers. What you'll be doing Assist in the delivery of the NSW capital works program across the Office portfolio, including (but not limited to):
- Assist in managing the scoping, coordination, planning, outsourcing, delivery, reporting and governance of the NSW/ACT (Office) capital works program
- Independently manage and deliver smaller capital works projects with the assistance of the Senior CapitalWorks Manager and Capital Works Manager for NSW/ACT
- Making use of Charter Hall platforms, systems and processes - ensuring delivery is consistent of that undertaken in other regions
- Ensure WHS&E best practice is consistently applied for all capital works, inclusive of management and reporting in line with local legislation and in accordance with Charter Hall requirements
- Assist in ensuring the efficient delivery of projects on time, on budget, with minimal impact to Charter Hall tenant customers
- Assist in budget management and expenditure control, in relation to projects under management
- Management of external Project Managers, consultants and contractors
- Assist introducing detailed capital expenditure submissions and reporting
- Assist in annual budgeting and project tracking in collaboration with the Capital Works, Asset and Property Management Teams
- Assisting with tenant issues where Asset/Property Manager involvement/direction is required i.e. disputes, make good etc.
- Travel within NSW and interstate as required
- Assisting the National Capital Works Manager, NSW/ACT Senior Capital Works Manager with delivery of the Capital Works portfolio in NSW/ACT
- Where required, assisting in the delivery of National Office Initiatives
- Performing regular site visits and attending monthly management meetings
- Maintaining and improving WHS reporting including coordination of auditing, reporting and implementation of compliance strategies
- Assist the ESG Manager, National Capital Works Manager and NSW/ACT Senior Capital Works Manager to improve sustainability performance and implement key sustainability strategies
- Assist the National Capital Works Manager and NSW/ACT Senior Capital Works Manager with major building repositioning projects
- Negotiate with and influence others drawing on own experiences
- Ability to make efficient and effective decisions / recommendations with deep understanding of the risk /reward profile

- Project management qualification and/or Building/Engineering/Architecture or other appropriate tertiary qualifications
- 5 years industry experience with experience in a similar technical role
- Demonstrated Contract negotiation experience in the building and construction industry
- Demonstrate skills in design management of multi-faceted team, assist the delivery of capital works projects
- Possess analytical skills
- Understanding of the design and delivery market and the key players in each tier within NSW/ACT
