Teaching and Instruction:Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective biology lessons in accordance with the IGCSE curriculum.Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and achievement.Assess and evaluate students' progress regularly through assignments, tests, and examinations.Curriculum Development:Participate in the development and revision of the biology curriculum to ensure alignment with IGCSE standards.Develop and implement innovative teaching materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and projects.Student Support and Development:Provide individualized support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals.Identify and address the learning needs of students, offering additional help and enrichment opportunities as needed.Prepare students thoroughly for the IGCSE biology examinations, including organizing revision sessions and mock exams.Classroom Management:Establish and maintain a disciplined and productive classroom environment.Enforce school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.Manage classroom resources and equipment effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and usage.Professional Development:Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in biology education.Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and school events as required.Communication and Collaboration:Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic progress and areas for improvement.Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support school initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the school.
